Happy Father's Day!

“Our” children have the best dad! Lee has been there for them through so much. Sometimes it was not an easy task to undertake, but he stepped up with all his HEART, BODY AND SPIRIT. We may not have physically had children together, but in the eyes of our Father in Heaven Lee is their dad, and I know for our children he is as well.

Excerpts from a past gift to Lee from our kids:
From Krysia : Thank you for all the times you took me shooting, they are some of the best memories I have so thank you for taking me and teaching me.

From Christopher:  Love with all the love you can. And to be an honest man cause most of the time your word is all you've got. And stick to your beliefs, no matter the price you might pay, or to work as hard as possible get a good job.

From Andrea: Lee has meant more to me than he ever could. He has been there through the hard times and the good. I’ve had so much appreciation and respect for him.

From Liana: A father is someone who sticks around even in the dark times. He is someone that worries and cares for you even when you don't want to be cared for. He is someone that puts rules in place and makes sure that they are being followed even if they are not liked. A father is someone who always backs up the mother. A father is the glue that holds the family together. I don't think you know how good of a job you did, even though we may not or did not show you all the time.

From Tiffany: Why is my father the best father ever? Isn't it obvious? Whenever I need anything, anything at all there he is. I love my father. I no longer think of him as a step-father even though I still call him by his first name. I wouldn't want anyone else to call dad. Thanks for being there for me in the past and I look forward to you being there in my future.

From Juanita: I can remember being a wild young teenager and we'd fight and scream and hate each other. But then 10 minutes later we could go for a drive or sit on the front porch and talk. We can always be honest with one another even if it hurts or is not what the other wants to hear. He does his best to help me be the best person, daughter, wife, mother, daughter of god that I can be. And I try to do the same for him. I think this mutual love and respect for one another is what bonds us the most.
Lee has been the best kind of dad that our children needed. They taught him something about himself, to love without conditions attached to them.

Dads come in all shapes and sizes, but you come in the shape of all…
You love with all your heart. You have been through the best and worst of our family and you stayed put! You didn’t run when times got tough, you weathered the storms with our family, and you became an example of faith, of unconditional love for our kids.

Happy Father's Day to the best dad I know.
