August has been awesome! Our family has grown, grandchildren are the best!

Conner is enjoying being a big brother to Jude. Oh how we wish we were there. These boys are so dang cute.

Damon, our 13 year old grandson got to come stay for a little while. It was great fun having a teenager in the house again....hmmm, maybe not...just kidding. :)
Andrea our beautiful daughter from Southern Utah came for a weekend. We also had the awesome privilege of seeing Sloane and her wonderful family.
We are so blessed to get to see our grandchildren growing up in such awesome families.
                                                                   Andrea and Sloane
                                                              Lucas
                                                        Lucas and his dad, Chris.
                                                Our family is so funny...
Cam...playing and climbing on the playset.

Grandma with Damon...stylin' in fun hats
Ani loves to play in the little tent I set up in the living room

                                                      Grandma and Grandpa with Ani.

                                                  Lucas and Ani hanging out
Damon and cousins, Ani, and Lucas

Grandma with Jareth, he was so tired...poor little guy.

August has been a busy month, with family coming a going.. We have had such fun with our older grandson Damon visiting. We missed his brother and sisters, they were on the way to come but unfortunately they were in a car accident and that nixed the trip to Utah. Liana's family are all safe, we miss them so much.

Tiffany and Kevin added to their family in July, can't believe the time has flown by. Now Tiffany is adjusting to having "kids" how awesome is that?! :)

Emily and Cam have a busy schedule, so we spend less time together, but when we do see them it is always so fun. Cam is so sweet and her personality is shining through. She has that stubborn streak I mentioned before, which Ani also has. I think it may be my genes that contributed that trait...hehehe

Next month both Cam and Ani will turn two years old! Where did the time go?

Ani and I spend a lot of time together as I tend her three days a week. And recently got to spend the night at grandma and grandpa Waldon's. She has a schedule all her own, staying till 11pm is no longer on our list of things to do, but Ani had different plans for us! Oh boy was that fun...yes, and no...At least she likes to sleep in till 9am.
It was such a treat to have her. We will have to plan a sleep over with the other grandchildren...What am I saying?! hahaha! I maybe going a little crazy in my old age... ;)

Well, Lee and I have had some incredible health changes. Not one trip to the E.R. this year. I can't even begin to express how grateful I am for that.  I know it could not have been possible without the Lords help. Though it was a tough year, and quite frankly I did not know if we were going to survive it. Changing how we eat, our inactivity, even changing our attitude about what we were going through.
A lot of prayer, going to the Temple, and blessing are incredible blessings to our lives. I believe we took those things for granted, we became complacent. I am grateful for that tough year we had, it has lead us here, to a more healthy way of living and hopefully one filled with more faith and hope. I know it has strengthened me in ways I had no idea about. I am so grateful...for this amazing year we have had.

My husband's blog about his journey to healthy living. It wasn't easy to change, but it has been so worth it.

I love being a mom, and I really love being a grandma!

 Just a few wonderful happenings...

Juanita, Solee, and Ani. Sky couldn't make it for this visit, we missed him so much. These days are so special when we get to see Solee and Sky, and to see them with Ani is so special. These are the kind of days that remind me the Lord loves our family.
Jude Lee Horton has finally graced us with his long awaited arrival. We are so grateful for a happy, healthy new grandson. Welcome to this crazy family of ours Jude. Tiffany, is a real trooper! 41 weeks, wow! Jude, just kept telling her he wasn't quite ready to meet his family yet. But now he's here and we all wish we could be in Delaware to meet him and hold him, and kiss him, and pinch those awfully cute cheeks of his.
Ani, running around grandma's and grandpa's backyard...she is such a joy, and always makes me smile. I have the awesome opportunity to care for our sweet granddaughter Ani, three days a week, give or take, I love every minute. I love seeing her grow, and her personality is coming forth with full force, she reminds me of her mom that way...They say stubbornness runs in our family, well it must gain in momentum with each generation! HAHAHA!
Jareth, isn't so little anymore..."Look at my big foot grandma!" He is so happy and smiles and coos, and loves to talk to grandma...

Lucas loves when I take his pictures now, and wants to see them all...there are many...Lucas is going to school, loving his friends, and loves to make grandma laugh.
Three generations...Grandma, mom, and Ani. We are so silly...I love those girls of mine.
Grandpa and Ani. Grandpa showing Ani the fish at Cabelas one day...I think she was kind of wondering why the fish weren't cartoons.
This is Sister Cora's house. Whenever we go for a walk, Sister Cora gives Ani a flower. This day Sister Cora wasn't there, so Ani sat down and I think she was waiting for her...It was so sweet.
I love this little so much. Jareth is growing so fast and he just loves to see everything and talk up a storm with his grandma.
Lucas wanting to workout with grandma. "I'm so strong, like grandpa." Lucas says, man he is a sweetheart. Love him like crazy.

I guess people don't Blog anymore...including me...sorrieeeee

Well, in case you didn't see it on Facebook, our daughter Krysia and Geoff had their baby. A sweet and mind you cute little boy, Jareth. He is so small, cute and cuddly. Krysia says, "he actually sleeps, he's so good. Barely cry's, only when he's hungry or wants to be held. He is a sweetheart. I love to give him kisses and just cuddle away the minutes with him.
Ani and I went to the Park one day and "oh, no!" The slides, the swings, the fun...all gone...what to do, but to look at the empty space with longing...
We ended up throwing the ball around which Ani loves to do, and picking dandelions to blow in the wind. So not a bad day at the park.

Lucas, goofing around for grandma. He just started at Challenger, and is loving it!
Birds...Duck family hiding behind our garbage cans..Quail family in our garden plot, in the back yard.

Cam's beautiful smile. She is such a joy! She is so happy and sweet. We love her so much.
Grandma smothering Jareth with kisses! I just want ta eat'em up....he's so darn cute!
And here is my handsome husband. Since his last hospital stay, he has completely changed his eating habits and exercise. It was really awful to see him so much pain and not knowing what was going on, but we both knew that something needed to change. And he's off...gettin' all kinds of healthy and wanting to share with everyone his success. And hopefully help someone else who may think, "I just can't do it, it's too hard. I'm too far gone, there's no hope for me." Because that's just not true. I never thought my husband after all these years of drinking soda like it was water and basically eating crap  would become a person to workout twice a day! CRAAAAAZY! But I am so grateful for him, and the trial of health issues to wake us both up to making changes in our lives. The Lord is truly blessing our lives. Though it has been a difficult time, it has been worth it to get to where we are.

Our Family...

2013 in pictures...our family....Emily and Cam moved to Utah in June just in time to visit with Tiffany, Kevin and Conner for their visit from Delaware. We are so happy they are here...more grand children for me to spoil and love.
Two beautiful girls...Ani and Cam meeting for the first time.

Aunt Tiffany loving on Ani and Cam. Cousin Conner sharing toys...good boy.
Our Family, Liana and her family were able to come down for the day from Kimberly, Idaho. We were so happy that they could be here. We love and miss them so much. Our grand children Damon, Sami, Brendon, and Temperance are growing up too fast.
Tiffany, Kevin and Conner are so freaking awesome! Tiffany cooked, and helped to care for Ani, while I was in bed sick most of the time. Though I pushed through and had some fun with the family.
Seven beautiful grand children. Damon 12, Sami 9, Brendon 7, Conner 17 months old, Temperance 14 months old, Cam 8 months old, Ani 8 months old.

So the last year has had it's up and downs as usual. With two moves from Texas, Krysia and Lucas, and Emily and Cam. We love having them. Emily got to visit and see Tiffany's family. We are so grateful that we had so much family here. We missed Christopher, who moved to Oregon. Krysia and Lucas were only two weeks late in seeing the family in June, darn it, she missed out on having so much fun with everyone.
A fourth of July with our grand son Lucas, he really loved the fire works. Sloane turned three and more beautiful with each passing year. Thank you to the Williamson's for having us in their home to celebrate with them. We got to see Sky and Solee at the Art Fair in Salt Lake City.

Family dinners, flooded bathroom, illness, trips to the hospital. Grand kids playing, messes, laughing, playing, and eating...

Skyping with Tiffany and Conner, having Missionaries for dinner, going to the temple, teaching our grandson Lucas to pray and go to church with us.

This year our family will be welcoming two more babies in the family. Krysia's baby boy, Jareth is due in May.

Tiffany is due in July, we don't know what they are having yet, we just know he/she is going to be cute like big brother Conner.

We had so much fun with Ani, Cam and Lucas here for Christmas...children make Christmas so special.

Both Lee and I have had some illnesses that have laid us out...I am still seeing doctors to figure out if all this dizziness is BPPV or Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo, Vertigo is a sensation of spinning. Individuals may use the word "dizziness" though this is a difficult term for a health care practitioner to understand. There is a difference between vertigo (spinning) and lightheadedness or feeling of being unsteady that is NOT accompanied by spinning. Loss of balance and falling, Nausea or vomiting, Nystagmus (involuntary eye movements). I hope and pray for some sort of relief. It can be very disconcerting and can also bring on a panic attack, and then it takes me a couple of days to recover and I don't know when I am going to have a spell, they just come on. And I am not an amusement ride kind of woman, so I don't have much fun when this happens. And to top that, I got walking pneumonia in December.
I have been feeling better...let's pray that continues. I have too much stuff to do.

Lee has had to deal with infections, and hospital visits. After his last hospital stay, he got a blood clot, and a staff infection that he is still dealing with. We hope that resolves it self with the antibiotics that have been prescribed or the doctor says they may have to do surgery.

I continue to care for Ani and Lucas and hope I remain healthy to continue to do so.

We will see what 2014 has to bring...
