Surprise visit
Chris likes to surprise our family and today was no exception. I get a text today on my way to my physical therapy appointment, saying, "How would u like to have lunch with your favorite baby boy?" I am like, huh?...So I pull my car over and reread it, I call Christopher and ask him, "Where are you?" "He says Highland". What?! I say. I turn around and call my doctors office to cancel my appointment, and ask Chris when will they be in Orem. About an hour later, we were having Panda express and picking up Tiffany and making plans to head up to SLC so he can see his two other sisters. Which was really great because Andrea hadn't seen him in almost 6 years. And they had a lot of fun talking and catching up. But time was not on our side, because they only had the day, and a lot of other family to see.
I am just happy we had some time and our kids got to pick on their "ole mom" for old time sake....
My Hair Challenge...
From step one, to the end result
It seems that I have had the same hair for years...whether it was short or long. Right now it is a bit too long for me as it takes me close to an hour to style. Let's see, there is the blowing drying, the straightening, adding all the product so it's not frizzy and flyaway. It doesn't help that I am still recovering from my injury, kind of hard for my arm, shoulder to be in one place for so long, so I have to take breaks as I am doing my hair, reeeeeallllly now.....agh
I am thinking of going really short. Don't worry, I don't have an obsession with my long hair, we have parted ways before. My hair grows back so fast, sometimes I can't even tell I had a haircut a month later. I will be posting some haircut ideas, maybe you can weigh in and give an opinion on which ones you like for me. Anyway, needed to ge that out.

Graduates
Hooray for my girls who have worked so hard to get their High School Diplomas/GED. I know that it has been a long tough road for you and I want to say how happy and proud we are of you all.
Now get out there and start living your dreams...I can't wait to see what you will accomplish now.
Congratulations Juanita, Liana and Andrea!

She don't know she's beautiful
I have five daughter's and I think most of them think this way. That makes really sad to think about. Because I know they are beautiful. They are talented, skilled, smart, funny, artistic, musical, kind, sweet, etc, etc, etc...
I just want my girls to know how much I love them. I want them to know they are amazing, talented, beautiful, strong women. That they have so much to contribute to their community, to their family, and friends.
I know that I have had my own issues with this subject as well. Sometimes it's hard to pound into my head and heart that I am a beatuiful daughter of my Heavenly Father. But I try, I hope my girls will do the same.
I heard this song today and made me think of this. I hope you will read the words carefully and know for yourselves just how beautiful you really are.
Love you my BEAUTIES!
She Don't Know She's Beautiful
We go out to a party somewhere
The moment we walk in the door
People stop and everybody stares
She don't know what they're staring for
She don't know she's beautiful (never crossed her mind)
She don't know she's beautiful (no she's not that kind)
She don't know she's beautiful
Though time and time I've told her so
There she goes just walking down the street
And someone lets a whistle out
A girl like her she just can't see
What the fuss is all about
And she don't know she's beautiful (never crossed her mind)
She don't know she's beautiful (no she's not that kind)
She don't know she's beautiful
Though time and time I've told her so
Morning comes and her hair's all a mess
That's when she thinks she looks her worst
It's times like this she don't know why
I can't take my eyes off her
'Cause she don't know she's beautiful (never crossed her mind)
She don't know she's beautiful (no she's not that kind)
She don't know she's beautiful
Though time and time I've told her
She don't know she's beautiful (never crossed her mind)
She don't know she's beautiful (no she's not that kind)
She don't know she's beautiful
Though time and time I've told her
She don't know she's beautiful (never crossed her mind)
She don't know she's beautiful (no she's not that kind)
She don't know she's beautiful
Though time and time I've told her so

An Apostle's Easter Thoughts on Christ
I am so grateful to Elder Holland for his testimony and love for the Savior. I am blessed to be a part of this amazing gospel. I am grateful that we have a living prophet in these latter days to guide and councel us. I am grateful for a loving Savior who died and suffered for me. I am so very grateful for the Resurrection of our Savior.
Happy Easter
